CENTRO SURFERS PARADISE CHALK THE WALK FESTIVAL TRANSFORMS SURFERS PARADISE INTO AN URBAN ART GALLERY

Surfers Paradise came alive 21 - 24 May as the inaugural Chalk The Walk Festival attracted an estimated 10,000 people into the precinct to witness the artistic showcase.

The four day cultural celebration saw the Gold Coast’s hub transformed into an urban art gallery and was hailed as a massive success; despite wet weather forcing the festival to move from its intended location at Eileen Peters Park on the Surfers Paradise Esplanade.

Wet weather venue and major sponsor Centro Surfers Paradise provided the perfect refuge from the stormy conditions, leaving organisers Surfers Paradise Alliance and Zest Events extremely happy with the outcome that enabled the event to continue and for audiences to be astounded by the artistic skill and imaginative creations on display.

Chalk The Walk was an incredible success and we're all looking forward to returning to Surfers Paradise in 2010!
